David Chiavegato is a safety for the Massachusetts Minutemen. The 5'11", 190-pound true freshman from Walpole, MA was a three-star recruit from Xaverian Brothers High School, ranked No. 18 in Massachusetts by recruiting services. At Xaverian, Chiavegato earned varsity letters for two years and served as senior captain. He recorded 1,317 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior, along with 48 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups. As a sophomore, he posted 10 total tackles including seven solo tackles, 2.0 tackles per game and two interceptions. Chiavegato helped Xaverian win state championships in 2023 and 2024 and reach the 2025 Division I championship game.
