Ryan Howerton is a 6'6", 332-pound right guard for the Maryland Terrapins. From Laurel, Maryland, he attended St. Vincent Pallotti High School, where he earned All-MIAA First Team honors and was named offensive line MVP at the Under Armour and Rivals camp stops. He appeared in two games as a freshman in 2024. In 2025, his redshirt sophomore season, Howerton saw action in 10 games and helped anchor an offensive line that allowed just nine sacks, ranking fifth nationally and second in the Big Ten. He appeared in games against Rutgers, where the offense rushed for 305 yards, and FAU, where the unit recorded zero sacks and 380 total offensive yards.
