Ricardo Cooper Jr. is a redshirt junior defensive back from Baltimore, Maryland, who attended Calvert Hall. He made his Maryland debut in 2024 as a redshirt freshman, appearing in six games and recording a fumble recovery on special teams against UConn. In 2025, Cooper saw action in 11 games and was named Maryland's Special Teams Player of the Year. He recorded six total tackles and one interception for two yards. On special teams, he returned four kickoffs for 71 yards (17.8 per return, long of 23) and two punts for five yards (long of 3). Cooper currently returns as a redshirt junior for the Terrapins.
