Preston Howard is a 6'5" tight end from Arbutus, Maryland who transfers to Maryland as a redshirt senior. He began his college career at Auburn, where he redshirted in 2022 before appearing in 37 games over 2023-24, recording 37 catches for 349 yards and one touchdown. At Auburn in 2025, Howard played in all 12 games with seven starts, catching 10 passes for 84 yards. His best performance came against Georgia on 10/11 with four catches for 33 yards. In high school at McDonogh, he played quarterback, posting a 21-4 record as starter and earning All-State honors.
