Messiah Delhomme is a 6'2", 196-pound safety from Newport News, Virginia, who played at Warwick High School. A four-star recruit and No. 6 overall safety in the country according to Rivals, he recorded over 2,100 all-purpose yards and 28 touchdowns during his sophomore and junior seasons, earning two First-Team All-State selections and 4A Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore. In his true freshman season at Maryland in 2025, Delhomme appeared in all 12 games with one start, accumulating 39 tackles including one for a loss, four pass break-ups, one interception, and one fumble recovery. He also returned two punts for 30 yards and was named the Terrapins' Freshman Special Teams Player of the Year.
