Jaylen Gilchrist is a 6'5", 299-pound right tackle from Virginia Beach, VA who attended Salem High School. A four-star recruit in the 2025 class, he ranked 111th nationally and was the second-highest ranked player in Virginia. As a junior, he earned Class 5 First-Team All-State and First-Team All-Region honors. Gilchrist chose Maryland over Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Penn State, and South Carolina. During his freshman season in 2025, he suffered an injury in the season-opening win against FAU that ended his campaign.
