Sam Leavitt, a 6'2" quarterback from West Linn, Oregon, transferred to LSU after two seasons at Arizona State. The redshirt junior appeared in 24 career games across Arizona State and Michigan State, completing 376-of-612 passes for 4,652 yards and 36 touchdowns while adding 816 rushing yards and 10 scores. At Arizona State, he started 20 games and compiled a 16-4 record, leading the Sun Devils to an 11-2 mark and a College Football Playoff appearance in 2024. That season, he earned Big 12 Freshman of the Year and second-team All-Big 12 honors. In 2025, he started seven games before injury, going 5-2 with 1,628 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.
