Phillip Wright III is a wide receiver for LSU entering his second season with the program. A four-star recruit from Destrehan High School in the New Orleans area, Wright also competed in track, winning the 2024 5A regional title in the 100 and 200 meters. In 2025, his redshirt freshman year, Wright appeared in two games and made his LSU debut against Southeastern Louisiana, catching one pass for two yards. He played three offensive snaps against Southeastern Louisiana and seven special teams snaps across both appearances, recording one tackle on kickoff coverage against Houston in the Texas Bowl.
