Lamar Brown is a true freshman defensive lineman at LSU who stands 6'4" and weighs 295 pounds. The Erwinville, Louisiana native from University Lab High School was the consensus No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, earning 5-star ratings from major services and a 0.9992 evaluation score. He became LSU's first No. 1 overall signee since Leonard Fournette in 2014. During his 2025 senior season, Brown recorded 29 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks while also forcing 2 fumbles. He earned First-Team All-State honors as a defensive lineman and was named the Baton Rouge Advocate's Outstanding Defensive Player for Small Schools in 2025. Brown also competed as an offensive lineman, earning MaxPreps First-Team All-American recognition in 2024 and 2023, and was a state champion in shot put and discus.
