Jhase Thomas is a 6'1", 175-pound safety from Destrehan, Louisiana, who joined LSU as a four-star recruit ranked 354th nationally in the 2025 class. Thomas appeared in five games during his true freshman season in 2025, including his debut against Southeastern Louisiana. His most notable contribution came against Texas A&M, when he blocked a punt in the second quarter that resulted in a safety, narrowing LSU's deficit to 14-9. He recorded one defensive snap and 33 snaps on special teams while redshirting. Thomas also returned one punt for 16 yards in 2025. He is the son of Fred Thomas, who spent 12 seasons in the NFL, including eight years with the New Orleans Saints.
