Jake Ibieta is a linebacker for the LSU Tigers entering his fourth season in 2026. The 6'0", 237-pound redshirt junior from Metairie, Louisiana joined the program as a walk-on in 2023 after starring as a two-way starter at Country Day High School, where he earned First-Team Class 2A All-State honors on the defensive line as a senior. Ibieta has appeared in 2 games during his career—recording 1 tackle against Grambling in 2023 and seeing action in the 2025 win over Southeastern Louisiana. He has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in both 2024 and 2025 and is majoring in mechanical engineering.
