Micah Rice is a 6'2", 200-pound safety from Los Angeles, California, who attended North Oldham High School in Kentucky. A consensus three-star prospect, Rice was ranked No. 8 overall by recruiting services and tabbed No. 60 safety by recruiting services sports. He transferred to North Oldham midway through his senior season, appearing in four games while earning first-team All-District honors. Prior to his move to Kentucky, Rice played at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, where he compiled 54 tackles, 1.5 sacks, seven pass break-ups and three interceptions as a junior. He did not allow a touchdown in man coverage during his final three seasons at Moeller and set the school's 4x400-meter relay record. Rice chose Louisville over eight other programs and is a returning player for the Cardinals.
