A consensus four-star recruit in the 2022 class, Skinner played two seasons with the Hurricanes, recording 10 receptions for 138 yards and one touchdown across 11 games. In his first season at Louisville in 2025, he appeared in all 13 games with six starts, catching 21 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. His longest reception went for 33 yards, and he averaged 9.7 yards per catch.
