Daylen Russell is a 6'3", 300-pound defensive tackle from Miami, Florida, who attended Christopher Columbus High School. A three-star prospect, Russell helped his high school program win back-to-back state championships and earned Miami-Dade Defensive Player of the Year honors after recording 84 tackles and 10 sacks in 2022. He redshirted his true freshman season at Miami in 2024 before appearing in five games in 2025, totaling six tackles with three solo and one tackle for loss. Russell transferred to Louisville as a redshirt sophomore.
