The 6'3", 285-pound prospect from Birmingham, Alabama, attended Moody High School, where he recorded 79 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks across 12 games. In his first season at Moody, he posted 45 solo stops and registered nine tackles in the state semifinals as the team compiled an 11-2 record and reached the Class 5-A state finals. Abercrombie received offers from Arkansas, Memphis, UAB, South Alabama, Arkansas State, and Middle Tennessee State before committing to Louisville.
