Landon Baptiste, a 6'4" wide receiver from Lafayette, Louisiana, played quarterback at Southside High School where he earned first-team All-Area and District 3-5A honors and led the Sharks to their first playoff victory. He enrolled at Louisiana in 2023, appearing in the regular-season finale against ULM without recording statistics. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, Baptiste played in 13 games on special teams and as a reserve receiver, catching an 8-yard pass against Grambling on August 31.
