AJ Tarvin is a defensive back for Louisiana Tech, standing 6'1" and weighing 175 pounds. A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Tarvin attended Hattiesburg High School, where he was rated as a three-star recruit. He ranked as the 35th best player in Mississippi and the 101st best cornerback in the class of 2026. Tarvin chose Louisiana Tech over offers from Southern Miss, Jackson State, Sac State, Central Arkansas, and Jacksonville State. He also participated in baseball, basketball, and track and field in high school. Born November 19, 2007, Tarvin is the son of John and Tracey Tarvin and currently is in his true freshman season with the Bulldogs.
