Val Erickson, a 6'5" right guard, transferred to Liberty from NC State. The Chicago native spent two seasons at Missouri (2022-23) without appearing in games before moving to NC State. At St. Rita High School, he earned all-state, all-area, and all-conference honors while helping lead the program to an 11-2 record in 2021 and the Illinois Class 7A state title game. He appeared in seven games during the 2025 season and 14 total contests across the 2024-25 campaigns. Erickson started two games in 2024, including the Military Bowl against East Carolina, where he recorded a season-high 62 snaps.
