Brenton Williams is a 6'3", 260-pound joker for the Liberty Flames who transferred from Auburn. A native of Opelika, Alabama, Williams graduated from Opelika High School as a Class 7A first-team all-state selection with 55 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks. He saw action in two games during the 2023 season at Auburn before joining Liberty. In 2024, his redshirt freshman year, Williams appeared in all 12 games and recorded 15 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sacks. During the 2025 season, he played in all 12 games with two starts, finishing with 27 tackles (11 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss (26 yards), 3.0 sacks (24 yards), and three quarterback hurries. Williams earned Phil Steele CUSA Preseason All-Conference First Team honors for 2026.
