Thomas Aden, a 6'1" linebacker from Lakewood, Ohio, transferred to Kent State after appearing in one game at Pittsburgh. During the 2025 season, Aden played in all 12 games for the Golden Flashes, recording 24 total tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss. He posted 1.5 sacks and recovered a fumble against Massachusetts. A career-high 5 tackles came against Northern Illinois. Aden earned Phil Steele Preseason All-MAC First Team and Athlon Sports Preseason All-MAC Third Team honors heading into 2026 as a redshirt senior.
