Daniel Kinney is a placekicker for Kennesaw State from Knoxville, Tennessee, where he attended Bearden High School under head coach Josh Jones. The redshirt freshman appeared in four games during his 2025 freshman season, converting 6 of 7 field goal attempts and 5 of 6 extra points. He connected on a 29-yard field goal against Wake Forest on August 29, went 3-for-3 from the field against Indiana on September 6 with a long of 50 yards, and made both attempts against Jax State on November 15, including a 43-yarder. Kinney also recorded three touchbacks on five kickoffs during the season.
