Baron Hopson is a linebacker for Kennesaw State who transferred from Jackson State. The 6'1", 222-pound Leesburg, Georgia native played in all 13 games as a sophomore at Jackson State in 2022, recording 51.0 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss. After joining the Owls, he appeared in four games during 2023 before receiving a redshirt. In 2025 as a redshirt senior, Hopson started all 14 games and logged 139 total tackles with 10.0 tackles for loss, one interception, and six pass breakups. He earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honors and set a program record with 12 solo tackles in a game against Liberty.
