Yasin Willis is a running back from Newark, N.J., who attended St. Joseph Regional HS before transferring to Kansas from Syracuse. A three-star recruit ranked No. 523 overall in the 2024 class, Willis appeared in 11 games as a backup for the Orange in 2024, accumulating 36 carries for 130 yards and eight receptions for 26 yards. He also returned 10 kickoffs for 212 yards at a 21.2-yard average. Willis scored his first collegiate touchdown against UNLV on October 4, posting 62 rushing yards in that contest. His season included a career-long 43-yard kickoff return in the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl against Washington State on December 27.
