Kory Amachree is a running back from Haslett, Michigan, who received three-star recruiting honors from recruiting services. At Haslett High School under coach Brad Thomas, he earned All-State recognition as a junior, accumulating 1,102 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns across six games before a season-ending injury. He helped lead the Vikings to an 8-3 record in 2025 and a MHSAA Division 4 District Final appearance. Ranked the No. 9 player in Michigan, Amachree selected Kansas over scholarship offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Pitt, Duke and others. He joined the Jayhawks as a true freshman in 2026.
