Kamari Burns is a nose tackle from Columbus, Ohio, who attended Gahanna Lincoln High School before playing three seasons at Cincinnati. At the high school level, Burns earned Division I All-Ohio Second Team and All-Central District First Team honors as a senior in 2022, recording 65 tackles, 27.0 tackles for loss, and 9.0 sacks while helping lead the Lions to a 13-2 record and state semifinal appearance. During his 2025 season at Cincinnati, Burns appeared in 11 games and registered 11 tackles and a half sack across 174 defensive snaps, including three-tackle performances against UCF and Utah. Burns transferred to Kansas State as a redshirt junior for the 2026 season.
