Ja'Son Prevard is a 6'2", 200-pound safety from Atlantic City, New Jersey, who transferred to Kansas State from the University of Virginia. At Virginia in 2025, he appeared in 13 games with 12 starts, accumulating 24 tackles, a tackle for loss, three interceptions, and eight passes defended while earning All-ACC Honorable Mention recognition. He logged 585 total defensive snaps and ranked seventh in the ACC in interceptions. Following his redshirt season at Morgan State in 2024—where he recorded 18 tackles, an interception, and six passes defended across 12 games—Prevard was named an FCS All-American as a freshman in 2023 after posting 22 tackles and eight passes defended in eight games.
