Amar Thomas is a 6'1", 240-pound defensive end from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who attended Wise High School. A redshirt senior, Thomas started all 14 games in 2025, posting 40 total tackles with 11 solo tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks. He recorded a career-high nine tackles against Marshall on November 8 and registered 2.0 tackles for loss with a half sack against Troy on December 5 in the Sun Belt Championship. Thomas earned Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt honors in 2025 and was named Preseason First Team All-Sun Belt for 2026. He is a two-time JMU Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete.
