Quay Hood is a nose tackle for Jacksonville State who hails from Decatur, Georgia. At Decatur HS, he earned all-state honors after posting 76 total stops and 28 tackles for loss across 11 games, along with 14 sacks. Hood appeared in 10 games during his 2025 freshman season, recording 12 tackles and 1.0 sack from his defensive line rotation. He logged four solo stops and a half sack in the Homecoming victory over Murray State on September 20, then added three tackles with a half sack in the bowl win over Troy on December 16.
