Xavier Williams is a running back for the Iowa Hawkeyes from Schererville, Indiana, where he attended Lake Central High School. In his 2025 collegiate debut, Williams appeared in 10 games and earned his first career start against UMass. He rushed 49 times for 285 yards with three touchdowns and a long of 43 yards, while adding seven receptions for 43 yards. Williams recorded a 100-yard rushing performance in Iowa's season opener against UAlbany, accumulating 122 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown in the 34-7 victory. He became the first Hawkeye redshirt freshman to achieve a 100-yard game in his collegiate debut since Shonn Greene in 2005.
