Brayton Alford is a linebacker for the Iowa Hawkeyes standing 6'0" and weighing 211 pounds. The Carroll, Iowa native from Kuemper Catholic High School earned three letters in football and one in track. As a senior in 2025, Alford recorded 86 tackles, six interceptions, five forced fumbles, and three sacks on defense while catching 51 passes for 714 yards and seven touchdowns and rushing for 91 yards and two scores. He helped his team to a 14-0 record and the Class 2A Iowa State Championship that season. Alford earned first-team all-state honors from multiple outlets and was named the KMA Hawkeye Ten Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
