Xavier Martinez is a safety for the Iowa State Cyclones who transferred from Northern Michigan. The Chicago native prepped at Hoffman Estates, where he was named team MVP and captain and won a conference championship. At Northern Michigan, Martinez appeared in 11 games during 2024, starting 10, and recorded 21 tackles including one for loss, a forced fumble, and five pass breakups. In 2025, he played in 10 games with nine starts, totaling 22 tackles with 1.5 for loss, five pass breakups, and a forced fumble while earning Honorable Mention All-GLIAC honors. Martinez is a junior returning to the roster.
