Drew Byrd is a tight end from Meridian, Idaho, who attended Rocky Mountain High School under head coach Scott Criner. A three-star recruit, Byrd caught 18 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown as a senior, earning All-Southern Idaho Conference first-team honors. He also recorded first-team all-conference recognition as a junior with 11 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. Rocky Mountain reached a semifinal appearance at the 2025 Idaho State 6A Championship with a 10-2 record that season.
