Drake DeBaun is a 6'6", 255-pound tight end from Overland Park, Kansas, who prepped at Shawnee Mission South under head coach Nick Foster. A three-star prospect and top-80 tight end nationally, DeBaun finished his high school career with 63 receptions for 771 yards and 10 total touchdowns. As a junior, he had 34 catches for 397 yards and 5 touchdowns while averaging more than 11 yards per reception. In his senior season, he recorded 29 catches for 374 yards and 5 touchdowns and earned 2025 KFBCA First-Team All-State honors. DeBaun chose Iowa State over Wake Forest and is a true freshman with the Cyclones.
