Chase Smith is a placekicker for the Iowa State Cyclones. The Eldridge, Iowa native prepped at North Scott High School, where he earned First Team Class 4A All-State honors and was named Class 4A District 3 Punter of the Year. As a true freshman in 2025, Smith appeared in five games as a backup kicker, converting 2 of 3 field-goal attempts and 12 of 12 extra points. His field goals ranged from 34 yards to a career-long 38 yards. Smith also recorded 28 kickoffs with one touchback. He was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team and the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
