Carson Edney is a true freshman tight end at Iowa State standing 6'6" and weighing 235 pounds. The Logan, Iowa native attended Logan-Magnolia High School, where he earned 2025 IFCA Class A First-Team All-State honors. In his senior season, Edney caught 45 passes for 532 yards and five touchdown receptions, while also recording three rushing touchdowns. Across his high school career, he totaled 77 receptions for 1,091 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns. Edney also competed in wrestling, placing in the top five at the 2026 Iowa state championships.
