Austin Barrett is a left tackle for Iowa State who transferred from Indiana. The 6'6", 315-pound lineman from St. Charles, Illinois was a consensus three-star recruit in the 2023 class and competed as a wrestler at the national level. At Indiana, he appeared in five games as a reserve in 2024 and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors before redshirting in 2023. In his first season with the Cyclones, Barrett played in 10 games on the offensive line and special teams, with his debut coming against South Dakota. He helped block for two running backs that combined for over 700 rushing yards, the first time an Iowa State duo achieved that since 1982. Barrett earned Academic All-Big 12 recognition in 2025.
