Paddy McAteer is a kicker from Mullaghbawn, Ireland, who transferred to Indiana after two seasons at Troy. He attended St. Mary's University in Belfast before beginning his American football career in April 2024 at age 20. Over 26 games with the Trojans (2024–25), McAteer set the program record with a 53-yard field goal against Texas State on 10/11 and converted his first collegiate field goal attempt on the same kick. In 2025, he appeared in all 14 games, recording 64 kickoffs with 34 touchbacks, and earned Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
