Matt Marek is a center from Orland Park, Illinois, who played prep football at Sandburg High School under head coach Troy McAllister. A consensus three-star prospect and top-100 offensive lineman nationally, Marek made his collegiate debut against UCLA on October 25, 2025, as one of 12 true freshmen to appear in a game that season. He saw action in three contests during his freshman year, including extended time on the offensive line in the fourth quarter at Maryland on November 1, where he contributed to an eight-play, 93-yard scoring drive.
