Josh Burnham is a defensive end from Traverse City, Michigan, who attended Traverse City Central High School before beginning his college career at Wisconsin in 2022. He transferred to Notre Dame prior to the 2023 season. As a redshirt freshman in 2023, Burnham appeared in all 13 games with one start. During the 2024 season, he appeared in 14 games with 10 starts before suffering a season-ending injury prior to the Week 11 matchup against Michigan on November 9. In 2025, his junior season, Burnham appeared in all 12 games with four starts while missing four games due to injury. He has made all 21 career appearances as starts and currently plays for Indiana.
