Carter Smith, a 6'5", 313-pound left tackle from Powell, Ohio, has started 41 consecutive games dating to the 2023 season for Indiana. The redshirt senior appeared in 43 career contests with 41 starts. In 2025, Smith started all 16 games and earned consensus All-American honors, including first-team selections from the AFCA, FWAA, and Walter Camp Foundation. He won the Big Ten's Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year award and was named first-team All-Big Ten. Smith became the first offensive lineman to earn first-team all-conference recognition since 1977.
