Pat Farrell is a defensive tackle for Illinois standing 6'5" and weighing 285 pounds. A three-star recruit from St. Rita High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Farrell redshirted in 2023. During his 2024 redshirt freshman season, he appeared in all 13 games with one start, recording four tackles, 0.5 sacks, and one quarterback hurry. In 2025 as a sophomore, Farrell played in all 13 games and tallied 11 total tackles including three solo, 1.5 sacks, 2.0 tackles for loss, and two pass breakups. He tied for sixth on the team in sacks and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors both seasons.
