Jayshon Platt is a 6'1", 185-pound wide receiver from North Port, Florida, who attended Venice High School under head coach John Peacock. The program won a state title during his tenure. Platt played four seasons at Florida Atlantic before transferring to Illinois with one year of eligibility remaining. In 2025, his final season at FAU, he appeared in all 12 games with nine starts, recording 46 receptions for 720 yards and five touchdowns. He added 25 kickoff returns for 613 yards and ranked 30th nationally with eight receptions exceeding 30 yards. Platt posted 100-yard receiving performances against Memphis, Navy, and Tulsa, including a career-high 121 yards with one touchdown at Navy on October 25, 2025.
