Grant Smith is a tight end for the Illinois Fighting Illini standing 6'5" and weighing 230 pounds. A native of Forsyth, Illinois, Smith was a three-star recruit ranked #72 by national outlets at his position and earned 2024 IHSFCA Class 2A All-State and News-Gazette All-State honors. During his senior season at Maroa-Forsyth, he caught 51 passes for 885 yards and 18 touchdowns while setting the school's single-season tackles record.
