Demetrius John is a 6'3", 290-pound nose tackle from Columbus, Ohio, who attended Dublin Coffman High School. A three-star recruit, John recorded 125 tackles, 16.0 sacks, and 52 quarterback pressures in high school and earned 2023 All-Ohio Second Team honors. He redshirted during his 2024 freshman season at Illinois. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, John appeared in six games and was named Academic All-Big Ten.
