Andre Lovett Jr. is a nickelback from Blue Island, Illinois, who played high school football at Eisenhower under head coach Sheamus Murphy. A three-star recruit in the 2025 class, Lovett appeared in each of Illinois's final nine games during the 2025 season, including the Music City Bowl victory over #23 Tennessee. He recorded three solo tackles on the year, with his career-high of two solo tackles coming in the rivalry win at Purdue on 10/4/25. Lovett made his Illinois debut with one solo tackle in a win vs. #21 USC on 9/27/25, seeing action primarily on special teams as a true freshman.
