Carter Horton is a 6'5" punter from Perry, Georgia, who attended Perry High School where he was a dual-sport athlete in football and golf. As a football player, he earned All-Region honors at punter and recorded a 50-yard average on four punts in a single game, the highest single-game average in school history. He was a four-time Hazel Jackson Scholar Athlete. In golf, he placed third at the GHSA state meet as a junior in 2022 and finished 18th at state as a sophomore in 2021, earning All-State and All-Region recognition both years. Horton attended Central Georgia Technical College in spring 2024 before transferring to Georgia for the 2024 fall semester. He is a redshirt junior majoring in Economics and returns to the Bulldogs roster.
