Cayman Spaulding is a 6'0", 225-pound linebacker from Lithonia, Georgia, who transferred to Georgia Tech from Tennessee Tech. At Tennessee Tech (2023–24), he appeared in 21 games across two seasons, recording 66 tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss as a sophomore in 2024. In his 2025 redshirt freshman campaign with the Yellow Jackets, Spaulding played all 13 games and finished with 41 total tackles (24 solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup. He recorded season-high efforts of six tackles on three separate occasions and delivered a particularly strong performance against Pittsburgh on November 22, totaling six tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks with a forced fumble.
