Alberto Mendoza is a quarterback from Miami, Florida, who transferred to Georgia Tech from Indiana. Standing 6'2" and weighing 215 pounds, Mendoza was a three-star recruit in the 2024 class. At Columbus High School, he completed 159-of-223 passes for 1,950 yards with 22 touchdowns and five interceptions as a senior in 2023, adding 319 rushing yards. He led Columbus to back-to-back Florida Class 4 Metro state titles in 2022 and 2023, finishing with a 26-2 record over those seasons. Over his prep career, Mendoza threw for 4,596 yards and 57 touchdowns. He is pursuing a business administration degree and is the brother of Fernando Mendoza, who was a quarterback at Indiana and Cal.
