Jaylen Poe is a running back from Dallas, GA who attended North Paulding High School before playing at Northern Illinois. At the high school level, he earned All-State honors in 2021 and 2022, along with first-team all-conference recognition those same years. He made his college debut in 2023, recording 44 rushing yards on six carries against Western Michigan. In 2024, Poe appeared in eight games and ranked fifth on the team with 190 rushing yards on 36 carries and three touchdowns, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. He added four receptions for 22 yards and returned a kickoff 89 yards against UMass. Poe transferred to Georgia State and appeared in four games during the 2025 season, accumulating 74 scrimmage yards on 13 attempts.
