Liam Thompson is a true freshman offensive lineman at Georgia Southern. The 6'4", 280-pound lineman from Appling, Georgia, played for Harlem High School under Coach Mark Boiter. As a senior, he earned first-team all-state honors at the 3A level from both the AJC and GACA, along with first-team all-region selection for Region 4-3A. Thompson recorded 27 pancake blocks and a blocked field goal his senior year, with 43 pancake blocks over his final two seasons. He was ranked the No. 193 interior offensive lineman nationally by recruiting services and was a two-time honorable mention all-state selection by Recruit Georgia. Thompson also competed in basketball and soccer during high school.
